Dr. Phan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry and minor in biology at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. She then also received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. Dr. Phan completed an ASHP-accredited pharmacy practice residency at Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, KS and an ASHP-accredited specialty residency in critical care at University Medical Center of Southern Nevada. Upon completion of her residency, she accepted a position as a clinical pharmacy specialist in Emergency Medicine at UMCSN. Dr. Phan serves as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Emergency Medicine.
