For each year of your pharmacy residency, you will be mentored and guided by a preceptor ready to help you find grants and research opportunities specific to your chosen concentration.

Post Graduate Year Two Critical Care Residency
PROGRAM FUNDAMENTALS
- The program provides residents with ample learning opportunities in various critical care areas.
- Residents work as an integral member of the healthcare team with the guidance of highly trained and respected board-certified preceptors who have extensive experience in their respective practice areas.
- Residents participate in the clinical on-call program. Responsibilities include pharmacokinetic consults, nutrition consults, drug information requests, pain consults, etc.
- Residents participate in the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program as a longitudinal experience
- Residents are provided multiple opportunities to precept pharmacy students on clerkships from various schools.
- The design and completion of a resident research project, including a formal platform presentation at a regional conference and a final manuscript of research results suitable for publication, are required.
- Formal presentations are required of the residents throughout the residency year.
- Residents are provided the opportunity to complete a teaching certificate program through Roseman University of Health Sciences, College of Pharmacy.
- Upon completion of the program, residents are qualified to obtain a position in most critical care areas as a clinical pharmacy specialist, clinical faculty, or continuation of training in a fellowship program.

RESIDENT QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
- Pharm.D.
- Eligible for licensure in Nevada
RESIDENCY APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

- Please describe the staffing requirement of your PGY-1 residency and any previous hospital experience you have other than your PGY-1 residency. Please include hours worked and frequency of staffing.
- Please describe the depth and quantity of the presentations, both large and small, you have presented during your PGY-1 residency. Please also include major presentations you have given outside your PGY-1 residency experience.
- If from a pass/no pass College of Pharmacy please include class ranking with supplemental application materials
A 15- to 20-minute (excluding question and answer) presentation on a critical care topic is required. Other types of presentations (e.g., journal club, monograph) are not appropriate. The presentation must be emailed to the residency program director at least one week prior to the interview date.
